Start DistillFlow

DistillFlow is currently able to take in Taverna workflows (.t2flow).


The DistillFlow System is used to rewrite a scientific workflow into a new workflow by removing redundancy of processors (anti-patterns). If you would like to rewrite a scientific workflow into an SP workflow, you can use another tool called SPFlow. If you would like to check whether or not the workflow obtained is already an SP workflow, you can use another tool SPChecker.

Note:

You need to have Java 1.6 or 1.7 installed. (click here for help)

If using Internet Explorer you might not notice the IE information bar at the top of the window (asking if you agree to run the Sun Java WebStart ActiveX), you will need to accept this if it shows up
Functionalities available (since Aug. 2013):

Check whether or not a Taverna 2 workflow is an SP workflow.
Detect anti-patterns which can be merged into a single processor in Taverna 2 workflows.
Rewrite scientific workflows into new structures with less redundancy (remove as many unnecessary tasks as possible).
Export distilled Taverna 2 files which can be loaded and executed by Taverna workbench (current version support Taverna 2).
